This is a very minor update that only concerns SEO. It's a pretty useless update (for you) wasting an entire thread, but I have to make a thread anyway. Otherwise, you'd all be wondering what that update pop-up was for.
Here's what changed:
See? Nothing to it! I really just wanted to change the description, because it was too short and lame. Then, I decided to do some more useless things just so the update would have more than one line. But at least now if you shared a link to Twitter, it would look like this:
instead of the old one which sucked.
Here's what changed:
Code:
Changed the description to be more descriptive Removed the robots and googlebot tags so as to get the default values "index, follow" Removed preconnecting link tag pointing to vip.aersia.net, because it's not used anymore Added Twitter and Facebook metadata Moved site-related icons to a folder Added more icons for more device compatibility
instead of the old one which sucked.

I have to do this update before I forget (again) which track goes to which Langrisser! Langrisser games get remade every few years with arranged music and each spinoff game arranges the music from the first two games. It's madness, not to mention confusing!
Note: If I don't put a year or console next to the game title, assume it's not a re-release, unless the re-release has a different title from the original release. (See how confusing this shit is?)

Holy hell, it's been over a year since the VIP had a new track. This must be fixed immediately! But first, we're gonna start the new year with an eye-popping confession: there are more than 1000 tracks on the backlog to be added to the VIP and Mellow (excluding Exiled).
That would pretty much double the playlist, wouldn't it? I mentioned a while ago that I listen to video game music almost all the time, as my last.fm can attest. So even if there are no updates to the playlist, I'm always adding to the backlog. Not to mention there's also a backlog of albums I have yet to listen through. So much VGM, so little time.
And so, we come to my new year's resolution: to add at least 240 tracks to the VIP (including Mellow) this year. That's even more than when I was at my prime, but really it's more because I have to make up for not adding any tracks last year.

Today is the VIP's 11th birthday!
So what better time to release the VIP 3.0 open beta than right now! After months upon months of off-and-on work (mostly off), the official HTML5 player is here.
Features of the original VIP HTML5 player (the base) :
Added Features:

Features of the original VIP HTML5 player (the base) :
- Playlist selection dropdown box! For selecting a specific playlist.
- Repeat a track! Press the repeat button to play a track ad nauseam.
- Playlist selection and volume are saved! No need to readjust.
Added Features:
- Deeper, sexier color tones! Guaranteed to make even the colorblind wet.
- Draggable controls! I couldn't decide where to put the controls, so I made you decide on your own. My indecision actually led to something cool!
- Keyboard controls! "Space" to play/pause; "left/right" to seek backward/forward; "ctrl + left/right" to go to previous/next track;...

My fellow Aersians. I have some grave news to share.
Flash, the platform on which the VIP was built upon, has an official end of life date. At the end of 2020, Adobe is going to excise it like a cancer from the Internet for good. However, before this happens, the major browsers are going to cut pieces of it off of themselves until there's nothing left but sadness. So expect Flash to die sometime in early 2020, depending on your browser. What does this mean for vip.swf? Well, it just won't work anymore, sad to say.
RIP, vip.swf 2008 - 2020. Good night, sweet prince. It's been fun. You had a good run. Time to eat a bun and stare at the sun...

This upgrade will come in 3 glorious phases.
- Phase 1 -
Phase 1 is to create a fully-functioning HTML5 version, of...
